Dental fillings treat cavities by removing the decayed portion of the tooth and then filling the area with anesthetic material such as porcelain, zirconia or composite resin.

Next, they'll take impressions or scanning of your mouth; these are sent to the dental lab to make your permanent crown. A temporary crown will be placed over the top of the tooth in the meantime.
